3rd-4th Writing & TAG Prep

Ideal for any 3rd or 4th grade student looking to improve writing skills and/or prepare for the TAG writing essay. Students will learn to write an ECR (extended constructed response), along with different writing styles—persuasive, narrative, and informational.

  • Starts: Week of August 31st

  • Day/ Time: Mondays 3:50-4:50, Tuesdays 3:50-4:50, Tuesdays 5:20-6:15 & Wednesdays 5:00-6:00

  • Tuition: $300/month (includes the mock TAG essay)

  • Group size: 5-6 students

**Please note that TAG or private writing instruction is reserved for students who have aged out of their group programs, or those facing moderate to severe academic, social, or emotional challenges. Please do not double-book TAG classes. This prevents other students from enrolling. A student can only be enrolled in one TAG class at a time.

Write Idea

Write Idea is a Scottish Rite program for students diagnosed with dysgraphia and/or written expression challenges. During class, students learn cursive alongside broader writing skills. Watch this video to learn more about Write Idea.

  • Day/ Time: Tuesdays 4:00-4:45

  • Tuition: $270/month

    Note: This class cannot be joined mid-semester — the program follows a specific sequence, making it hard to jump in once it's underway. New groups will start in January.

BUILD

BUILD is a Scottish Rite program and a small group intervention that addresses five specific components of reading instruction- phonemic awareness, phonics, fluency, vocabulary, and comprehension. Each component is taught developmentally using a direct, systematic, cumulative, multi-sensory method to meet the needs of kindergarten and first-grade students struggling with reading. This class is ideal for rising kindergarten and first-grade students who need a boost in early literacy skills, and for dual language students who need extra support with English phonics.

  • Starts: Week of August 31st

  • Day/ Time: Mondays 3:50-4:35 & Thursdays 4:20-5:05

  • Tuition: $225/month

    Note: This class cannot be joined mid-semester — the program follows a specific sequence, making it hard to jump in once it's underway. New groups will start in January.

Turbo Start

Turbo Start is a Scottish Rite-developed dyslexia curriculum for newly identified students, and also works well as an intervention for struggling readers in 2nd grade or higher. It covers the five components of effective reading instruction—phonemic awareness, phonics, fluency, vocabulary, and comprehension—through a direct, systematic, multisensory method built on the evidence-based Take Flight curriculum.

Ideal for struggling readers, students waiting on a school dyslexia program, and dual language students needing English phonics support. Students learn cursive and build confidence, with a short weekly homework assignment (about 5 minutes) reinforcing progress.

  • Tuition: $300/month

2nd Grade Reading & Writing

This small group is designed for 2nd grade fluent readers who are ready to learn how to respond to text using critical thinking skills while also developing stronger writing skills.

  • Starts: Week of August 31st

  • Day/ Time: Mondays 3:50-4:35

  • Tuition: $225/month

Private Lessons

Scheduling for private lessons will open after our Back to School camps, and requests will be processed in the order received. You'll get a confirmation email with your lesson's day and time.

Please provide clear scheduling details on your registration form. We know fall is busy, and we appreciate you waiting to register until your family's schedule is finalized—once a confirmation email is sent, we're unable to process schedule changes until the initial wave of requests is complete.

Keyboarding Class

AT-HOME keyboarding class. Students receive a personal login and password to practice at their own pace, and will need access to a standard keyboard. Daily practice is key to building typing skills.

  • Tuition: $75/month

Mini Readers

We're excited to launch our Mini Readers program! This structured class includes art, letter sounds, letter formation, and listening comprehension skills, with guidance for parents and caregivers on how to support students at home. It's designed to align with the Scottish Rite BUILD program, following an evidence-based curriculum. Students will move around and have fun, but will also have structured literacy time at the table.

Students must be potty trained.

By the end of the school year, students will:

  • Be introduced to all 26 letters and sounds of the alphabet

  • Learn proper pencil grip

  • Practice writing their name

  • Be able to touch and name alphabet letters

  • Create an alphabet handout for each letter to practice at home

  • Practice listening and comprehension skills through classic and modern children's stories

  • Day/Time: Tuesdays 10:00-10:45 (ages 3.5-5)- Class & Story time

  • Day/Time: Tuesdays 2:50-3:20 (ages 4-5)- Class Only
